My child, 3 years old at the time, started attending Preschool and then transitioned into Kindergarten. My child did have an IEP (Individualized Educational Plan), which means that my child attended a special needs preschool program which was only 3 days a week, for 3 hours a day (this varies depending on the severity and needs of your child's diagnosis). The school provided my child with a Preschool class between 6-12 students at a time and services like Speech Therapy once a week and occupational therapy which focused on her writing grasp and skills. My child was able to bond with all of her teachers and specialists involved. She loves them, she loves this school and is now attending Kindergarten in a general class of 24 students and not a special needs class. The early intervention helped my non-verbal 3 year old develop into to a vibrant, smart, and talkative 5 year old who loves to share her leadership skills with her classmates. I believe that their services and small class sizes really helped get my child to the level needed to start in a general kindergarten class. Full disclosure: I also did have my child in additional speech therapy 2x a week/45 min session, outside of the school-provided speech therapy which was provided to her through her medical insurance. All of these resources combined worked to her advantage! Currently thrilled with this school and the staff. I am very involved and if any concerns arise, there is no hesitation in setting up a meeting with the teacher, specialist, and/or the principal. The only thing that can be improved is that I wish the school added more Hispanic heritage performances and history into the curriculum and school events.

My child is unhappy at this school. I’m looking to get her out of it as soon as possible. Lots of teasing/bullying and some mediocre teachers. Not all, but one I know of for sure. The test scores reflect the poor instruction, in my opinion. I thought I’d be happy with San G, but I was mistaken. Do your research before sending your child here.
