7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI went to this school as a sophomore in 2011 and I got expelled for something so little. But now we are in 2023 and this schools faculty does not care anymore. There is no punishments for the fights, for the drugs. There is absolutely no punishment for the bad behavior at school. These kids smoke and do drugs on campus and as a concerned parent of my child making poor decisions at school they did nothing to help me keep my kid away from it. I tried independent studies, I tried a transfer, I’ve tried talking to the dean, I’ve tried calling head of administration and nothing I get nothing. Independent studies is too full, apparently wanting to transfer my son for behavior problems isn’t a good enough reason to transfer him. They no longer have iss. The school system is a joke. When a dean can laugh in your face and say oh kids smoke here all the time. That’s a problem!Parent Review9mo ago - Lakeside

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy experience at this school is terrible. The teachers don't care about their students in academic progress or safety. None of the staff follow safety protocol. They can't keep bus drivers your child will be late to school or not picked up at all. If you can avoid these school I suggest doing so. "Clean, quite and good schools and everything is around our neighborhood SAMs club, Wal-Mart, WinCo, Costco, restaurants, HomeDepot etc. The SW is the growing area in Bakersfield and is in between the Freeway 99 and Interstate 5"

"Friendly community, pretty quite and mature. Great place to get that piece of mind, conveniently located near stores and restaurants with easy access, neighbors are pretty private, how I like it. It also looks like we all got each other’s back. I feel we should have a meet and greet though to eat better aquatinted and rise the awareness in then neighborhood. "
