9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe love Vail Academy and High School! We have had both our children here since kindergarten and they are now in 7th and 5th grades. It is very easy to communicate with teachers, staff, and administration. Having currently around 450 students total for grades k-12, it is easy to get to know each other, spend one on one time with teachers, and enjoy smaller class sizes. Vail Academy has a strong community feel with teachers that continually go above and beyond to ensure their student’s success in and out of the classroom.Parent Review2y ago - Cienega High School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter had a great freshman year. She is in all AP or honors classes. They also have Engineering and Drama as electives, and she is interested in both. Her math skills really took off last year under her Algebra teacher. She is interested in her electives, or she'd have joined the Corvis Academy, which is a serious college prep cohort. It's great for her to be at a school where the focus is not on mindless athletics!Parent Review6y ago - Vail Innovation Center

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageVDLP is a high rigor online program for students wanting an alternative option for school. It is ideal for students wanting academic challenges and the opportunity to accelerate through classes. VDLP offers full-time options along with students who want to take additional classes to their normal schedule. It is challenging and rigorous yet web based to afford families freedom to travel or have alternative class schedules.Teacher Review10y ago - Rincon Vista Middle School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHi, I'm a 7th grader attending RVMS, and even though I feel like it could be a good school, there isn't enough effort going into it. For one thing, the kids can get away with EVERYTHING. One kid made some racist joke and the teacher actually defended him! And things get routinely stolen or broken. I left my pen at my desk, and went to go work with my group, and it was rolling around on the floor with the tip pushed in and people kicking it. The teacher took NO steps to solve this problem and I know other people as well that have this problem. The school also has a 'reteach' class at the end of the day, and it's supposed to be when you can ask for help. In reality, it's just extra math that helps no one. The teachers are not very good at communicating and teachers that are complained about have nothing done to. The kids on campus are INCREDIBLY toxic, and the teachers are TERRIBLE about discipline. There are punishments threatened but never followed through. The kids know this, and so no one cares anymore if they get caught. Also, the amount of actual physical fights that happen is insane. The suspension time is only three days for a fight so kids don't care if they get caught. The sports teams are fine if you are a boy, but for the co-ed and girl sports it's incredible how little effort goes into it. And the teachers either let you get away w/ everything or they punish everyone, and it's not fair at all. Honestly, I've been to a lot of schools, but RVMS might be the worst, and you can actually feel that it's got a great principal so it just makes you sad. The staff and kids are the problem. DO NOT ENROLL.Student Review11mo ago - Andrada Polytechnic High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter is currently a sophomore at Andrada and we have loved the last two years! All of the teachers my daughter has had are great and very supportive especially in the honors and AP classes. The pathways give students the opportunity to learn to think for themselves and give real life experience. I love that they are bringing opportunities for sports back to the students. This school gives students a great education, skills, and a high school experience without the pressure students face at large high schools.Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 8034 S Dolphin Way.

"Dogs seem to be welcomed. But many dog OWNERS do not pick up after their dogs. This makes our neighborhood dirty. It also makes walks less enjoyable for everyone. It also opens up the chances to spread disease to other dogs. "
