2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe last 3 years many fights... Racial fights this year, boys can't even use the bathroom without getting harassed. Kids patting down other kids not only to steal their belongings but they will beat them up if you resist. If you want to be entertained with fights this is the place. And you have to wear masks or you aren't allowed to get food. All they do is promote vaccines. They offer the kids target gift cards they call you excessively to promote vaccines. So disappointed that the minorities are being targeted and so many kids out of control must have been the lockdowns.Parent Review2y ago - Cesar E Chavez Community School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI had enrolled my daughter in a nearby charter school because I had been influenced by the "1" rating received by Cesar Chavez Elementary and by how negatively people had talked about the school. My daughter is a bright girl and usually loved going to school but her transition into 1st grade was not facilitated by the faculty or students at the charter school and she was miserable. So I transferred her to Chavez and I will tell you this, it was the best decision. She has taken to school like she had in the past and while I will admit I'd like to have her presented with a more challenging curriculum, that is something I as a parent can influence by working with her teacher. I am very pleased with the staff, teachers and students. As a whole, the school is far better than where she was before.Parent Review9y ago - Check out schools near 246 E Illini St.
