5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagepart 1/2I love this school to death, and I'm upset I'm only here for 2 years.. Where to start... THE LUNCH IS AMAZING! I know for most students, lunch is their "favorite subject" so they will be impressed! So many more choices, and delicious food! The teachers are so supportive and caring. If you treat them with respect, then they will always be there for you! They know what they are doing and want the best for us and just want to share their passion. Why else would they become a teacher? There are counselors in the office that are always willing to talk to you! Middle school is hard for everyone, as it's an awkward stage of life, but that shouldn't be blamed on the school! Bullying does happen, of course, but if you bring it up to the right person, they will do what they can to help. It is a HUGE school, so they can't fix everything, but they try hard! This school does expect more, so of course it will be harder academically! They challenge you, and prepare you with harder work and responsibility! They will throw away a no name paper, because 1: they have too many students to worry about that one! and 2: be responsible! if you want the grade, show it! They build character if you actually try to learn what they are teaching you. Not just academics, but life skills!Student Review3y ago - Smoketree Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI don’t know where to begin. We moved here January of this year (2022). My kids have never been in public school, until now. There’s been several red flags, which I figured there’d be obstacles, as my kids have been brought up and raised in a Christian school. Teachers don’t call when theres an issue, instead they email, when it’s already a bigger issue than it should be. My son has met kids that obviously have no parental involvement, or what appears to be good instilled morals and values, as I’ve monitored his phone and the text messages are profane. What’s more disgusting is these are girls my son has made “friends” with. Thank God my son is smart and ignores a lot of it. Nonetheless there was a recent event at the school and I contacted the school and asked them to remind my son to go to the office until I or my husband pick him up. Well, they did not follow through. The staff doesn’t care about anything and only contacts you if there is an absence because they lose funding. I’ll be lookin go into homeschool, or private options. Didn’t realize how much teachers stopped caring because parents aren’t parenting. CA public schools seem better at this point.Parent Review1y ago - Lake Havasu High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAttempting to transition my daughter to high school from junior high, after multiple attempt to call & email per school requests on registration paperwork sent home..........no response. I called and finally got through to the book store only to be greeted by the rudest most unprofessional woman I have ever spoken to. What a great representative for welcoming new parents and students. We'll be enrolling elsewhere my daughter deserves a better education and kinder more professional staff.Parent Review10y ago - Havasuonline

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI had spoken with office staff on lots of occasions and not once was anything ever said to me and by the time we did find out she was dropped. I feel like they ripped off my family and my Daughter. She has to redo all of the hard work that she did. When it was all said and done they only gave my Daughter one math credit for all the months that she attended. This is an outrage, I think that this company, that changes its name every year mind you is using the federal government to get funds that should be going to schools that actually teach children and using them for some other purpose. When I tried to contact IQ academy Arizona I was told that they have pulled out of Arizona and that there wasn t even someone I could complain to about the situation. If you are a parent and you are reading this PLEASE do not enroll or allow your child to attend IQ academy or Havasu on-line. Safe yourself the heartache of explaining to you teenager that the school lost all of their work. Sincerely, A concerned community member.Parent Review13y ago - Check out schools near 158 Columbine Dr.
