6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI attended Island Elementary from Kindergarten to 6th grade. I have made so many fond memories with the wonderful teachers and funny students. There was so many fun activities to make it feel like home. I truly believe that going to this school has been a tremendous opportunity. I asked some of my old classmates who attended Islands Elementary and the consensus was that the play ground was an amazing addition to the school. In conclusion, if you are thinking of sending you kids to this school, take that next step and just do it. 4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school is great. Love the teachers and community...BUT...the boys basketball program and seriously gone morally and ethically bankrupt. Chris Lemon has come in to the program and completely ruined the program bringing in a huge influx of kids who are not in district. he thinks he is building an empire...umm..news flash. He doesn't even know how to coach basketball nor build up the program. They are inconsistent, with no sense of fundamentals or building a program. He is unmarried with a baby mamma, cusses like a sailor, and is no role model for teens. he should take a lesson from Coach Gonzalez...she has built a classy program that not only plays basketball games but builds up strong young women. GPS, fire coach Lemon and start over. The kids deserve better.Other Review7y ago

"This is a great neighborhood. My mother in law and father in law were one of the first families to have a home bully here. It was built in late 1996. My father in law passed away just over a year ago and my husband and I moved here from Las Vegas to take care of my mother in law. We have a few neighbors that have become great friends that also purchased and had their homes built shortly after this home was built. Our new neighbors are wonderful as well and have become more like family than friends/neighbors. "
