6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs with any education, you get what you put into it. We moved here 12 years ago, with four school age children. Two have graduated, one is attending U of A, the other Hendrix. My Hendrix student has interned at HP and Amazon and is going to work at Google after he graduates. My other two will be going to Hendrix and John's Hopkins. Our children's education should not be solely the school's responsibility, but also the parents.Parent Review7y ago - Nelson Wilks Herron Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI feel my child was labelled early in first grade - for no apparent reason. There were no behavior problems before this, and none in her church group presently. Her teacher repeatly tells me that my child is deficient in subjects, but when she does the work at home there is no problem. Only answer I get is that "there are 23 other students in (her) class." I get nowhere in meetings, speaking to other teachers, etc because they very obviously "circle the wagons" so to speak. Even when my child came home very ill with a high temp, the blame was put on her and not the teacher. The teacher's job is to take of the students and teach them. Neither of these conditions are being met in our case.Parent Review12y ago - Pinkston Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMost of the teachers at this school are just average. However, the counselors and school nurse are wonderful. I have been very unhappy with how this school deals with bullies. My son has been on his own to deal both emotionally and physically with bullies. He is only nine years old. This is completely unacceptable.Parent Review6y ago - Check out schools near 611 N College St.

"There are plenty of side walks and friendly faces. Many people walk their dogs in this area. One thing I dislike is how fast some of the vehicles travel on this street. Other than that, this neighborhood is wonderful for all types of families. "
