N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is a wonderful school. My son has absolutely amazed me with his ability to read. He is currently at a third grade reading level in the first grade. The amount of time and energy the teachers place on emphasizing the importance of reading is phenomenal. The teachers are loving and supportive of the students. They love and hug on them all day and are fair in their punishment when the situation demands it. We are blessed to be part of such a great school and will continue to support our Rams. Thank you Lakeside!Parent Review12y ago - Lakeside Intermediate School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son is in 4th grade at Lakeside. My daughter is in 1st grade and my youngest son will attend here as well. This is a wonderful school with great people and teachers. They have my child's best interest at heart and they get plenty of love. As for some of the other posts that I have read on Great Schools the OT, PT, and Speech department are amazing. The therapists are all top notch. My child was evaluated for OT because of an ADHD diagnosis. Fortunately she didn't qualify. I say fortunately because the teachers have managed to help her where the therapy department, legally, was unable to. They still had input into her daily time at school even though she didn't qualify. We paid for nothing and everything was provided by and through the school. I have seen first hand the work that this school does with special needs children and they are amazing. The academics are second to none. I would say though that with all of the school choice kids coming in the school has grown. It is mainly because the school furnishes all supplies and many people are looking for a handout. I live in Lakeside SD and I pay my taxes and the millage increases. All I ask is that you participate at the school.Parent Review10y ago - Lakeside High School

"It is a National Park. It was a meeting place for the Native American Tribes. A Finding Health Place before white people came. It has natural HOT and cold springs that flow from the ground every day of every year. It has bath houses with warm medicinal water from deep deep in the earth, Air is clean. Over the required 100 trees for each person so there is OXYGEN in the air. No gasping for breath. Hot Springs is bordered by a river and water views abound, The horse racing track is very popular. It has no freeway running to it so people do not pass through in droves! Houses run from 5,000, 000 or more down to 45,000 or less. Victorian mansions abound including a 6,000 sq ft 1889 Brownstone where I lived and we had our businesses - The house is now one of several delightful Victorian Bed & Breakfasts. The National Park hugs the original center of town and and the the blocks of houses on the North side that have existed for more than 120 years."

It’s about an hour to get to Little Rock. it’s not as bad now because the freeways finished. I-70 is a nice freeway"
