5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI visited FL High School in early December 2023. I taught high school math for 9 years in public schools in Texas and 5 years in a community college in Texas. I was involved in educational programs for a major technical company in Texas. I was "shocked" to witness poor citizenship among the students in the hallways and in some of the classrooms I visited. As an ex-teacher I would have stopped that immediately. The teachers I met were not very impressive in their efforts. The test scores are not that good for the money being spent. I live in the Village which supports this school and I was very disappointed in what I saw. I have talked with parents and grandparents who live in the Village and I was not encouraged by their response. Other kids who live in the area opted to go to another school district to the northwest of the Village and several attend school to the east of the Village. Based on what I observed plus the conversations I had, I would never would have let my two daughters attend this school.. Looking at the area covered by this school district, I was surprised that only 480 kids attend the high school. I hate that my taxes are paying for this school based on what I've seen and heard from reputable people.Other Review2mo ago - Fountain Lake Middle School Cobra Digital Prep Academy

"There is a dog park that is decent but nothing very special however you always see people walking their dogs everywhere "

"It is 20 miles to downtown Hot Springs. A nice drive! Good shopping. It is a 45 minute drive to Little Rock, Ar. "

"Concerts, sports, theater, fundraiser events, clubs, organizations for every interest. Dog park, pickle ball tournaments, golf tournaments."
- Keenataylor73

"None, my neighbors don’t get together to have parties or any type of get togethers, which is ok by me. I don’t have to have community events to get to know people. Hot Springs Village is full of opportunities if you want to get involved but some of us choose to we do not. We are not retired but we don’t want “Urbanization” in the Hot Springs Village either which is what our CEO is pushing and it’s disturbing the quaintness of this community. "

"Not a lot of grass or public areas to walk inside some subdivisions. There’s a neat dog park nearby tho"

"Hot Springs Village is a very diverse community. Our citizens come from all over the country and the world. I have met so many people who were outstanding in their career field. This group have over 200 organizations, community center, theater, dozens of churches, parks, and 11 lakes that offer all kinds of events throughout the year. "

"Dog owners love the dog park! Many dog owners live in the village. They are very responsible and clean up after their dogs. We see dogs riding in golf carts, out on the lakes in Pontoon boats, walking or running with their owners, and driving around with their heads hanging out the car window or convertible top. "

"Lots of space for the kids to play. It's quiet and every neighbor is like family. I love being in the country where my kids can ride bikes or we can ride four wheelers. Everybody knows everybody. The surrounding schools are also wonderful!"
