8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePersonally the some teachers are extremely biased and will make sure you feel bad every day.On the other hand there are teachers that are great and they leave a mark on you.The food is good compared to other schools the real problem is the parents fussing and firing great lunch ladies that made your day great. The jobs at the school was great though I personally loved it.The office staff WAS good now they are rude and annoying. The nurse is great.Student Review5y ago - Northport Elementary School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was excited to send my son to kindergarten this past year. I had raised three children already that had went through public school, but not unscathed. You know how it is, you've worked so hard to instill good values and character into your children, especially through role modeling. You agonize over where to send your children to school, wanting them to be in an environment that is conducive to learning. You look for a school where they'll feel safe and protected. Then off to public school you send your sweet little ones hoping and praying for the best. Only to discover later that you've thrown your child into a cess-pool and it's sink or swim. When there's issues of bullying or other problems that arise, you're met with a principal that dismisses the problems with a gesture of, "Oh, it's a good learning curve for your child." I'm writing this review because I hope that when you decide to take a tour of this school, look a little farther beyond the beauty of the school and a principal who smiles and acts like a politician. If it really matters to you that your child be treated with dignity, such as having the privacy to go to the bathroom without other children being allowed to look at your child while they are on the potty or being bullied by their class mates, then I urge you to look closer and ask questions about how they handle those situations. If they're honest with you, you'd be shocked! I was told that the teachers can't go into the bathrooms to keep other kids from looking and laughing at your kids while their body is exposed when they are on the potty in a stall. The bulling was worse than I have ever known in an elementary school. My son was being told on a regular basis from another child that he was going to kill him and how he was going to do so. Each time the principal would confirm with the boy and his parents that this brutal violent talk was going on. But the only consequence was talking to the boy. Needless to say, I finally realized that this was not going to be handled properly so I moved my son to a private school. I'm now working with a counselor to help my son overcome the damage that has come from a pretentious principal and his staff.Other Review7y ago - Sipsey Valley High School
