2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school was subject to a 2011 Federal lawsuit due to discriminatory suspension of students. They were suspended, not for behavior problems or fighting or even for academic violations. Some students received suspensions for 50 days simply for having a shirt that wasn't completely tucked in. In one case, the principal spotted a student whose shirt became untucked AS HE WAS TUCKING IT BACK IN, and still suspended him for 50 days. These draconian practices may be ending due to a lawsuit, but should it really take a lawsuit to get a school to focus on important academic issues rather than forcing students not to be able to get an education?Other Review10y ago - Collins-Rhodes Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have called multiple times, made multiple trips to this school. I had to commute on my lunch hour from work to attempt to obtain information needed for Bridge program that starts in less than a week. When arriving, and finally speaking to principal he did not have an idea of the program information. This gives me so much hope in the education that is supposed be provided to my child. What kind of leader does not know any information about the programs at the school that he is the principal of. This makes me very uncomfortable with the rest of the school staff, and there abilities to successfully teach children with a leader such as this. I am at a lost for words as to how this can be acceptable for anyone.Parent Review4y ago - Elizabeth S Chastang Middle School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is the second year my children have attended this school. I honestly am not a huge fan at all. My children come home stating how the teachers are always yelling at them and how they feel the teachers don't like them. It makes me wondering where is the love of teaching or the love for the children. Tthe school had a lock down due to a gun being found on a student and parents were not notified at all. Also they have random searches at the school and parents aren't notified then either. Regardless of what past experiences may have been had they need to realize that parents would like to know what is going on with their children at school. If I had the option to send my children to another school I would.Parent Review2y ago - Check out schools near 2911 McAboy St.

All the neighbors have been very welcoming to our family after moving here from the Midwest. "I'm not sure who in their right mind would agree to this "deal". Does anyone do math anymore? It would be more like 8 years at $1,072/ month or around $200-something/month for the 30 years. Does this even include homeowner's insurance? "
