7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI went to curry from kindergarten through graduation in '97. Even during that time the schools had their problems. I started a family in the area and sent my oldest daughter to school there. It definitely changed for the worst. The principal was definitely an alec Baldwin look alike with the jerk attitude to match. Most of the teachers and pto were made up of the snags that went to school when I was there. My daughters kindergarten teacher, mrs. Wheeler, spent more time on facebook with the other teachers than she did teaching the children. Most of the people in the community think if they made more than $40k a year. They were rich and better than anyone else. If you're not part of their group by association you will be left out here . I would not recommend this school to anyone. Especially if you don't want to pay for everyone elsea child to attend there also. They love "donations " even after you have bout enough for your child alone. This school is a joke among public schools.Parent Review12y ago - Curry High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI give them four starsb because they are one of the best school's in the area. That being said, there could be improvements made. As with all the school's in Walker County, more money needs to be spent upgrading classrooms. Traffic in this area of a morning and evening is a nightmare. If you are trying to make it to work on time, best to leave very early. Classroom overcrowding is also becoming more of an issue. With other school's closing it increases the workload on teachers. I believe this to be a good school, but it still needs improvements...Other Review12y ago - Curry Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a student at Curry Middle, and it's awful there. The school is forcing stuff upon students that the student doesn't even care about. It doesn't allow you to follow a path you want to take, and instead wants you to be the same as everyone else, even if you want to be different. The new principle is now enforcing technology upon students, and even though it's a path that is most likely going to be important in the future, they still won't let us become something that we would enjoy in the future. It has good school spirit, but I despise the school. Also the school is so strict on such little things. I will say something about a teacher so there's a teacher that I have this year that yelled at a student for trying to get to the project that we were doing. He moved his chair to get closer, and she started yelling at him, and called him a nuisance in front of the whole class. I would rate this school a 3/10Student Review5mo ago - Check out schools near 1030 Dailey Sub Rd.

"I live on a dead end street which is quite and safe for outdoor kid play. Most all the neighbors know each other and are very friendly. The homes are well kept and festive on holidays. Our neighborhood is conveniently located within 10 minutes or less to multiple grocery stores, restaurants, general stores, schools, parks, mall, and the newly renovated downtown Jasper area. "
