1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI love this school. It is a great place for anybody because of the diverse culture, friendly people, and broad curriculum. If there is a class your class likes there is a good chance FFC has it. I went there last year and had the time of my life. It was fantastic and i would recommend it to anyone.Student Review14y ago - Forest Hills School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is a beautiful modern up to date school. I have only one concern. I have seen children sitting n the side of the parking lot in the back of the school by the back playground as cars pass by next to them, during this past school year. This seems dangerous.Other Review7y ago - Harlan Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy children started at Weeden in the last 9 weeks of school in their first grade year and I was very disappointed in that their academics were so far behind the school they came from in south Alabama. Also, during their second grade year I had a lot of trouble with the teachers taking the bulling of my son seriously. I went up to the school repeatedly to complain that my son was coming home crying with cuts and bruises. I had to take him to the doctor for a fractured finger from the bulling. The bully was 2 years older than my son and my A-B son got an D in physical ed on his last report card (which was an A) and a note typed in by the teacher that he was egging the bulling on. I was never informed of this until I read it on the LAST day of school. My other son, which is also in the second grade at the time, His teacher would tell him he needed to read the bible, made him pray in class and needed to attend church. I reported this to the principal and nothing was done. It continued. Also, I did not appreciate his teacher leaving distinct finger print bruising on his arm.Parent Review7y ago - Florence Middle School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe Good: I absolutely love the staff and resources available at FMS. The students are able to take Encore classes and extracurricular activities that most people could only dream of getting to take or participate in.The Bad: Some of my students are very disrespectful and/or defiant.Teacher Review8y ago - Hibbett School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI pulled one child out a few years ago due to bullying and IEP issues, and currently have another child there. My child RARELY gets outdoor recess, which is an issue to me. Also, there are courses they are proud to say that they offer, but your child might never even be able to take those courses due to budget/teacher shortage. There’s plenty of room for improvement at this school.Parent Review6y ago - Check out schools near 621 Hilltop Ct.

"Moved from a large state and big city to live in a family oriented down to earth southern town....Florence. I love living here. Houses are reasonably priced, property taxes are better than most cities, schools are good, less traffic, lots of history, beautiful scenery and parks. Florence doesn't offer everything the big cities do. But one can make a day or weekend get away to places like Huntsville, Birmingham, Nashville and many other heavily populated areas. I find living here a lot more relaxing and less stressful. "

"This neighborhood is amazing! I love it. this is a great neighborhood for children.. this is also good for pets and runners. there are a lot of kids in this neighborhood. There is also a neighborhood pool and park. this neighborhood is older so some of the houses won't be updated that are for sale. most of the houses seem to be updated well! The back yards are big. But the thing I love most about this neighborhood ids that there are kids everywhere. I come from a small town but this school system is great i like it a lot. This neighborhood has charm.. there are tons of trees and plant life. If I could use one word for this neighborhood it would be amazing."

"I am the minister for the church across the street. This is a nice neighborhood with good people; friendly and helpful."

"The UNA campus is literally outside the front door. The convenience of being within walking distance to any area of campus, reduces the need to deal with the lack of parking for students. This is a residential neighborhood with few apartments in the Florence Historical District, which makes 702 Sherrod Avenue a gem."
