- 349 Students
8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe faculty and staff at Underwood are committed to providing a positive environment for growth and learning. The campus is small and allows students to have a more personal connection with teachers. The administration encourages student engagement and works hard to make learning fun and interactive. Underwood provides a private school experience in a public-school setting.Parent Review7mo ago - Wilson High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMajor lack or diversity, few teachers communicate with parents when needed, lack of arts program, lack of foreign languages, only a few sports teams that don’t experience terrible season after terrible season... When you go up to the school you’ll notice the parents’ and students’ lack of motivation, dressed like they just crawled out of bed. Students are left to fend for themselves against bullies, and unless you’re an athlete or top academic student, don’t expect to feel a part of the school. Standardized test scores are mostly below state average (which is already bad) and there is a sad percentage of students who pursue college after graduation. Don’t recommend.Parent Review2y ago - Check out schools near 2655 County Road 11.

"Moved from a large state and big city to live in a family oriented down to earth southern town....Florence. I love living here. Houses are reasonably priced, property taxes are better than most cities, schools are good, less traffic, lots of history, beautiful scenery and parks. Florence doesn't offer everything the big cities do. But one can make a day or weekend get away to places like Huntsville, Birmingham, Nashville and many other heavily populated areas. I find living here a lot more relaxing and less stressful. "

"This neighborhood is amazing! I love it. this is a great neighborhood for children.. this is also good for pets and runners. there are a lot of kids in this neighborhood. There is also a neighborhood pool and park. this neighborhood is older so some of the houses won't be updated that are for sale. most of the houses seem to be updated well! The back yards are big. But the thing I love most about this neighborhood ids that there are kids everywhere. I come from a small town but this school system is great i like it a lot. This neighborhood has charm.. there are tons of trees and plant life. If I could use one word for this neighborhood it would be amazing."

"I am the minister for the church across the street. This is a nice neighborhood with good people; friendly and helpful."
- n2justice67

"The UNA campus is literally outside the front door. The convenience of being within walking distance to any area of campus, reduces the need to deal with the lack of parking for students. This is a residential neighborhood with few apartments in the Florence Historical District, which makes 702 Sherrod Avenue a gem."
