10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageCould not ask for a better school. All the administrators, staff and teachers are hands on policy with all the kids. Hands down on of the best schools in the state.Parent Review4y ago - Arab Primary School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter attended this school from K-2. Her teachers have been very caring, motivated individuals and have gone above and beyond for us numerous times. I have been disappointed with our experience at this school because so many children we know have been identified for ADD/ADHD and parents pressured to get the kids tested (ours included). The grading standards at this school are ridiculously high for this age bracket (80% or higher is considered passing and I find it places unnecessary stress on parents and students because it leaves so little room for adjustment. If your child doesn't catch on quickly to new concepts, I do NOT recommend this school whatsoever. APS has no qualms holding back students who do not meet the 80% standard. Our daughter had to attend summer school to be promoted because her 79% wasn't high enough. As a parent, I find the principal to be charismatic and great at sales pitches for the latest program/curriculum/method and not a very good listener when it comes to solving problems and working with parents. I feel like I am getting "yessed to death" and I find that disheartening. Parents are very close-knit and involved although somewhat cliqueish.Parent Review10y ago - Arab Jr High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has serious issues about/with discipline issues. They blame a special education student first and foremost then it’s up to them to prove otherwise. The school counselor IS NOT a professional and should not be allowed to counsel children. The principal claims to be a professional, but has a child like mind that he forces issues as he sees them to protect his ideology. The sports of Arab schools system are reserved for children of parents that are friends of the school system faculty and administrators. Not what a school system should be like.Parent Review5mo ago - Arab High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI’ve done fine but for any low income students your experience here probably won’t be good. But it’s better than other public schools in the area.Other Review3y ago - Check out schools near 1st Ave NE.
