Description

This property is no longer available to rent or to buy. This description is from May 04, 2021
Great opportunity for the right buyer! Private home with 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom plus a detached but connected by the deck second bedroom or studio apartment. There is a newer 3-sided log rental cabin towards the rear of the property that is approximately 496 sq. ft. which is not reflected in the total square feet on the MLS. All total there is 1558 sq. ft of heated space and rental income potential by living in the main home and renting out the cabin and the studio. There is a garage shed with a storage loft that is fully wired and mostly insulated and easily fit a Subaru Wagon inside. The Cabin, studio, and shed garage are not reflected in the FNSB assessed value. A lot of sweat equity and value potential here as the property does need some work and is strictly being offered “As-Is” so cash, construction loan or conventional financing.

What Locals Say about Fairbanks

  • Jessica
"Neighborhood is wonderful! Close to Ft. Wainwright (about a 5min drive to the back gate that is open from 0500 to 2000) as well as Eilson AFB (about 25min away). Contrary to other reviewer's post, this neighborhood is on the other side of town from Pioneer Park, movie theatre, and the correctional facilities. It's a quiet, family friendly neighborhood where everyone keeps to themselves but waves when you're out and about. "

"Love this neighborhood! Right next to Ft. Wainwright's back gate (so less traffic getting on to base), 5 minute drive to the city and close to all the amenities (Fred Meyer and Costco are 4-5 min drive away), restaurants within walking distance, and friendly neighbors. Neighborhood has several children and everyone looks out for each other. "

We are next to the green belt and within walking distance of the elementary, middle, high school and University. You couldn’t find a better location to live! This neighborhood is very accepting of college students and military members."
