TRULIA LEVERAGES BIG DATA AND CONSUMER BEHAVIOR TO LAUNCH TRULIA INSIGHT FOR REAL ESTATE PROFESSIONALS

SAN FRANCISCO, January 12, 2012 – Trulia, a leading site for home buyers, sellers, renters and real estate professionals, today announced Trulia Insight, a new service that provides high quality leads to real estate professionals by leveraging big data sourced through Trulia’s consumer search dataset.  Trulia Insight allows real estate professionals to gain deep understanding of client needs by exposing home search preferences, financing prequalification details and home buying lifecycle information.  Trulia customers receive a complimentary trial of Trulia Insight with their purchase of Trulia Pro or Trulia Local Ads.

Trulia Insight is built upon a rapidly expanding dataset of consumer-submitted preferences, online search behavior, email traffic patterns and hyper-local real estate information.  Data from Trulia Insight has already helped identify that 72 percent of Trulia consumers surveyed are transaction-ready and planning to buy a home in the next six months.*  Additionally, 97 percent of Trulia Insight agent  beta testers have found Trulia Insight information helpful when qualifying leads and working with clients.*

  • Purchase Readiness Data:  Agents can identify serious homebuyers and understand which leads are ready to transact.
  • Qualification Information:  Consumer-provided data lets agents discover which leads are approved for financing and not currently working with an agent.
  • Home Search Preferences:  Agents can provide increased levels of service by accessing details about the neighborhoods and homes their clients prefer.
  • Client Engagement:  Agents can review the email listing alerts their clients open, helping them understand which of their clients are actively engaged in the home search process.
