Trulia Takes a Bite Out of the Big Apple, Becoming the Top Traffic Driver to New York City’s Leading Real Estate Companies

SAN FRANCISCO, January 17, 2008 – Trulia (www.trulia.com), the Internet’s leading real estate search engine, announced today that it outranks The New York Times as a traffic source to New York City’s largest real estate brokerage websites, including Houlihan Lawrence, Sotheby’s, Prudential Douglas Elliman, Coach Realtors, Fillmore, Century21, Coldwell Banker, and ERA, according to the latest data released by online competitive intelligence service company Hitwise.

“Our partnership with Trulia is already yielding stellar results,” said Chris Meyers, chief operations officer at Houlihan Lawrence. “Using Trulia has proven to be incredibly effective as we’ve shifted our marketing focus online in an effort to give Houlihan Lawrence and its agents an edge over the competition.”

Trulia recently introduced upgraded search functions including advanced map controls and multiple map sizes, the ability to expand or reduce maps on the search page, easier sign up for email alerts and faster load times. In addition, consumers can visit Trulia Voices to ask and answer real estate questions and get advice from local experts.

“New York City is the most frequently searched city on Trulia.com and, with the region’s competitive real estate landscape, Trulia is making it easier than ever for brokerages to connect directly to those qualified home buyers,” said Sami Inkinen, Trulia co-founder and chief operating officer. “Hitwise data confirms that the Trulia model succeeds in connecting those looking for homes in New York directly with the information and agents who can guide them.”
