Burnet Road, which is lined with strip malls, runs along the east side of Allandale.The MoPac freeway marks the neighborhood’s western edge.

Shoal Creek Boulevard runs the length of the neighborhood and has a wide bike lane. From Allandale, downtown is about 45 minutes by bike.
