"I’ve lived in this neighborhood for the past year and absolutely love it. It is quiet, peaceful and the neighbors are friendly. The streets are clean, and homeowners manicure their front yards. "

"It’s a dangerous neighborhood, walking at night alone is not recommended especially for a woman. Lots of burglaries, shootings around this neighborhood and gang violence. Reading all the comment above how nice this neighborhood is must be some sick joke or Realstate agents. It’s not a good and quiet neighborhood drive around and check for yourself, doesn’t take long to realize what type of neighborhood this is. "

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHaving had all three of my children attend P.S. 65, I can share a firsthand perspective on the school, its faculty, and the overall experience over a span of more than ten years. To put it simply, our experience has been overwhelmingly positive. There is a unique quality that comes with a smaller school environment, and much of the credit for this, and for the incredible foundation built over the years, goes to the visionary leadership of Ms. Scramadella (Sophie), the previous principal who founded this school, and Ms. Rodrigues, the founding school counselor. They established a truly "old school" approach, where a stable and highly qualified faculty and support staff genuinely know everything about your child, from their Pre-K days all the way through 5th grade. Ms. Marks and the current leadership took this foundation to the next level and I have seen an amazing growth over the past couple of years in my children academic and social development as well. This personal connection translates into an environment where my kids genuinely loved going to school. We've seen remarkable academic achievements, with some of our children ranking in the top 1% statewide in both Math and ELA on state tests. Beyond academics, every single teacher we encountered demonstrated a profound care for our children's development. Activities, arts, and a rich array of extracurricular programs are seamlessly integrated into daily school life, not just treated as afterthoughts. The school's commitment to communication and community is also exceptional. I've experienced the parent coordinator reaching out just to check in or to offer a warm "Happy New Year." The front office team is so familiar with parents that they often recognize my voice over the phone, eliminating the need to even state my name.We consider ourselves truly fortunate to have discovered and been a part of this amazing hidden gem. We extend our best wishes to Ms. Marks and the entire faculty of P.S. 65 for continued success and many wonderful years ahead!Parent Review10mo ago26 Reviews - Building Blocks Montessori School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTo any of my friends who are looking for a school, you must interview here first! There's nothing else that compares! M. entered at 4 years old & is learning more than I can ever imagine a 4 year old learning, science, music, Spanish just to name a few! When my 4 year old comes home talking to her 8 year old brother about chemical reactions I know for sure she's leaps n bound ahead for her age! And she loves going to school! If you want your child excited on a Sunday night to wake up & have school in the morning, then this is the only place to be! I haven't seen a school yet more nurturing & vested in educating my child ...interview here! Staff is amazing...Parent Review10y ago4 Reviews - Miraj Islamic School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is terrible, the principal could care less about the students. I have heard from their students that students were fighting apparently every day and teachers have seen but but haven’t said anything until one teacher saw and got them suspended. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI've been in this school for 8 years now, personally my experience with students was horrible. The teachers and staff in general is okay, but unfortunately don't do anything to the racism, abisism and bullying. The favoritism in this school is over the roof however. I have been bullied in this school, with only a few friends (I am POC and mildly disabled) and was treated horrible by fellow peers (girls) in my class and other grades. Sports (Basketball and soccer specifically) in older grades (6-8) have a lot of competition between their team, and there are many bullying cases. This school has a great education however, and would recommend if your child already has friends in the school. I wouldn't recommend to POC and disabled people, because of the racism and abelism between classmates. I am an honor student at this school and I would recommend if your child already has a good education base. This school is very complicated and competitive, but is not socially friendly between peers and even parents.Student Review1y ago3 Reviews
