"My neighborhood is relatively safe, but you still have to have ears and eyes open, whether here or anywhere. My neighbors are friendly. We pretty much don’t mingle much. Except for immediate people around me. "

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school is not bad. But the big problem of teachers is that they do not like their profession. they can not interest the child and give motivation to learn. Another problem is that if a child goes to this school with a Kinder Carden, then this child will be given priority over the newcomer.Parent Review2y ago24 Reviews - Ps 32 The Gifford School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThere are notable areas of concern regarding the school’s administration and leadership practices that have impacted the overall school culture, teacher morale, and communication. One of the main challenges at P.S. 32 appears to be a lack of consistent and transparent communication from administration. Teachers often feel decisions are made without adequate collaboration or input from staff, which can lead to confusion, inconsistency in expectations, and frustration. This top-down approach has, at times, created a climate where staff feel unheard and undervalued, limiting opportunities for genuine teamwork and shared problem-solving. Leadership that is more collaborative and responsive could strengthen the school community and lead to more cohesive implementation of initiatives.Another concern is the uneven support teachers receive when addressing student behavior or academic challenges. While some administrators are proactive and visible, others appear disengaged or unavailable when issues arise. This inconsistency can make it difficult for teachers to feel supported in maintaining a positive learning environment. A stronger administrative presence within classrooms—focused on partnership and professional growth rather than solely compliance—would help foster trust and improve both teacher and student outcomes. Stay away.Other Review6mo ago55 Reviews - David Marquis School of the Arts (The)

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBoth of my children attend SIMS: Kindergarten & Preschool (Toddler's) programs are wonderful. Teachers are skilled, experienced, kind, helpful, provide feedback and give individual attention to each child. Tuition is on a higher scale and they have a little more days off in comparison to NY public system. There were some snow days, which are not make-up able. Small classes enables teacher to get to know each child's personality, academic and social level. My kids love this school and I am satisfied as a parent too. It is definitely worth every penny.Parent Review11y ago18 Reviews - St Clare School
