"Well, the fact that I wish I could move from New York is not the greatest endorsement vet. This is the only neighborhood I would live here. What are the reasons I do not move? I could not afford to leave and move back. Period. But if you want to live in Manhattan and you want to be near the subway and you want to feel like you’re not living in New York City, then definitely move here because eventually everyone is going to want to leave New York City for a short period or long duration or forever. At least you have the park."

"Easy and fast if trains are on time. Easy access to trains & buses. Limited Bus lines are a nice option besides the subway"

"Outside of the drugs, loitering, limited healthy food options, gentrification, trash on the streets and no parking the pizza is incredible "

"Harlem has become very diverse community. Typically people that mind their business will be fine. Public transportation is phenomenal, there’s no shortage of super markets, farmers markets or bodegas. There’s a good option of schools to choose from and there are so many parks"

"You run into dogs very frequently, all I’ve met are friendly (or just yappy). There’s a bit of poop on the ground here and there, but you’ll get that anywhere."

"A lot of college students will be roaming around during academic semesters so expect human traffic to be high in the sidewalks near the campus. "

"My commute is easy to the south Bronx. I take the B or D train from 125th and St. Nicks and am there in 15 mins. Very easy trip to Yankee stadium as well and easy access to down town. "

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy children, now 7 and 5, have been at St. Hilda's since they were toddlers and we can't say enough of the incredible and loving community there. The school is able to beautifully balance rigorous academics with building moral character. The school is able to create a balance of specials and academic core and I believe truly sees my children individually with love and support. For a private school in NYC, the parent community is very relaxed and down to earth. There is a rigorousness to the school without creating deep stress or competitiveness. I can't say enough about this incredible school and community.Parent Review10mo ago37 Reviews - Bank Street School for Children

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI’m grateful every day to be a part of this community. My kids are learning about themselves and others, figuring out who they are as learners and who they are in relation to the world around them. They learn through experience and plan and from educators who put the kids at the center of everything they do. And the community of parents is grounded and connected and just gets it. It’s a very special place.Parent Review11mo ago38 Reviews
