"Maybe a dog park would be useful for dogs to get their energy out before going back to their apartments "

"Where I’m at you have to take the bus to the station t Coney Island. The waits can be pretty long 10-20min for buses. Luckily there are dollar cabs rolling through regularly. To get to anywhere popular like the city or even Williamsburg takes forever. Definitely don’t recommend living here unless you own a vehicle. Takes about 1.5-2.0 hrs to get to midtown Manhattan using public transportation."

"Great transportation but everything is far from here. It takes about 30 mins by car or subway on a good day. Lots of public spaces and it’s great in the summer. Extremely cold in the winter. Flooding can happen if you own a home. We are seconds away from the ocean in all directions. "

"Here are no good places to walk with dogs. Always have plastic bags to clean after your dog. In a case your dog is alergic to weed you better find another neighbourhood to live with your dog."

"I have lived in this neighborhood for 22 years, and have a lot of friends. There is Coney Island Amusement Park, open from Palm Sunday to Labor Day. We have Nathan’s Famous Restaurant the Famous Cyclone and our famous Cyclones Baseball minor leaguers. You can drive, just stay away from housing and private parking lots. There is also the Famous New York Aquarium newly renovated. We have IHOP, Applebee’s Restaurant, Grimaldi’s Famous pizzeria, Foot Prints Caribbean Restaurant. There are both free and paid concerts, check for days."

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is a terrible school! A school that breaks the psyche of children. Teachers give too little and demand too much. Endless tests every week. Parents are forced to do their children's homework! Children are driven to nervous breakdowns. The director covers for his teaching staff, yells at children and at unbearable parents. Never send your children to this school!Parent Review1y ago32 Reviews - Ps 188 Michael E Berdy

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averageam a parent of a child at this school, and I am very concerned about student safety and the overall environment. There are multiple serious issues:•The principal, Mr. King, does not appear to maintain proper supervision or a safe, respectful school climate.•Students have been given food and drinks that appear spoiled, which is a health risk.•Some security staff speak disrespectfully to students. I have witnessed security guards speaking harshly to children and calling them inappropriate names.•Certain staff members appear to target or intimidate students who are quiet or unable to defend themselves.•Bullying among students, including cursing and aggressive behavior, is ongoing and does not seem to be handled effectively.•I am deeply concerned about reports of inappropriate adult behavior toward students when other adults are not present. Schools must have strict supervision and professional boundaries at all times.•Parents are not allowed to be with their children inside the school, which makes it harder to know what is happening and raises further safety concerns.Overall, this school does not feel like a safe or supportive environment for children. These concerns deserve immediate investigation to protect students.Other Review3mo ago5 Reviews - Ps 288 The Shirley Tanyhill

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt was horrible.... I never knew that my children were becoming depressed from going to school. But thank God I got them out before it became a huge problem. That place is what is parents started calling "the boxing ring" and mrs. Mauberry the principle could care less about the students... only shows compassion to the many employees which happens to be family members of hers and not so much the other employees..... that place has turned me against nyc public schools.... I never want to put my babies thru that again....Parent Review7y ago12 Reviews
