"People love dogs in the neighborhood, as long as they are on a leash and owners carefully collect and dispose of dog poop"

"It is lovely, well maintained, very safe, but not too many kids around. It is a golf community, with manicured landscapes."

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur daughter had a terrible time at this school. The principal, Melita Alston, was of little to no help in addressing serious concerns about her staff and how certain children are targeted and tracked. After two years of trying to cope, we transferred our daughter to another, better ranked, Ann Arbor school. While at that school, we watched our child flourish under the care and professionalism of a much more competent principal and a teaching staff.Parent Review5y ago - Heritage School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Average4th grade was GREAT for my son at Heritage. His teacher was fantastic, and the student teacher was great, they made a great team, and my son completely enjoyed going to school everyday. 5th grade has proven to be a bit different. The team teaching class he has, with 64 children in it, seems to be proving to be too hard for one of the teachers. Assignments are misplaced (by the teacher), wrong grades given to the wrong children, repeatedly. He spends most of his time trying to find the assignment he turned in, that she misplaced. The other teacher seems to be ok. This year has my son quite frustrated. The principle seems like a very good guy. I have only ran into him a few times, and each time, very pleasant, down to earth. My biggest issue is having a teacher that clearly can't get a grasp with so many kids and team teaching. I am glad to see parents more involved this year, I was room mom last year, and was a bit shocked at the lack of parental involvement.Parent Review9y ago - Harvest Elementary School
