Pine Hills is a northeast Atlanta neighborhood on the east side of Buckhead.
Its name is no mystery. Pine Hills is hilly and covered with pine trees (plus some oak, sycamore, beech, poplar, and cherry).
This area was a farming community until the early 20th century, when Atlantans began creating country estates here.
After World War II, Pine Hills was developed into the residential suburb it is today.
