Old Avon Village

After completing our 2nd full year at Latimer, I can say with confidence this is the BEST public elementary school in Simsbury. The teachers are compassionate, excited and devoted to the students well being an development. The staff is kind and supportive and the principal exudes passion for what he does. You can tell that everyone: kids, teachers, staff all really love to be there every day. I'm excited for my son to start his 3rd year and for my daughter to start her first. We love this family and are so grateful to be part of it!

This is amazing school. The teachers are incredibly dedicated and caring and provide a wonderful environment with an excellent education. Today, during the current pandemic they efficiently turned to online learning without skipping a beat. Students are on their regular daily schedule meeting online for their normal classroom experience. They are discussing literature, history, science, working in math problems, speaking in Spanish, painting art, and singing together for music class. Without a gap in my sons education he has as normal a school day as one can have with social interaction.We love this school and are so grateful to the teachers!
