The Inner Sunset is on the west side of the city, two-and-a-half miles inland from the Pacific Ocean.

Inner Sunset borders Golden Gate Park for nearly 20 blocks.

Golden Gate Park’s historic Sharon Building hosts art classes for kids and adults.

Inner Sunset’s commercial districts on 9th, Judah, and Irving have an array of mom-and-pop shops, restaurants, cafes, bars, and bakeries.

The neighborhood is mostly flat, but Mount Sutro rises steeply from its grid of streets.

The UCSF campus at the eastern end of the neighborhood draws a younger crowd to the area.

Just up the hill in Golden Gate Heights, Grandview Park has panoramic city views including of nearby Sutro Tower.
