Romoland is a neighborhood in the city of Menifee, about 20 miles south of Riverside.

In the 1920s, it was developed as four- to five-acre fruit farms and named Romoland.

In 2008, Romoland became part of the newly established city of Menifee.

Parts of Romoland still feel rural, with large lots where some residents keep small livestock.

Some of its newer neighborhoods are more densely built with larger homes.

Most locals commute by car, though there’s one bus that runs to Perris, Hemet, and Valle Vista.

The area surrounding Highway 74 has a mix of car repair shops and small local eateries.

A barn turned classic car museum showcases the history of the area.

Eller Park, the only park in the neighborhood, has five acres with a playground, sports fields, and picnic tables.

Friday afternoon at Eller Park.
