In ground swimming pool, and numerous fruit trees and shrubs grace the property including and incredibly heavy bearing Fig, many varieties of Pears and Apples, Plums, Cherries, Asian Pears,a Bay leaf tree, Japanese Maples, and 3 showy Liquid Amber Trees, the pride and joy of the cul de sac. A full raised bed of Lavender, Blueberries, and 2 of Roses. Camellias, Butterfly Bush, Lilac, Lavatera, Daffodils in the S...pring, and on and on. Located in a prestigious subdivision of Dallas Oregon, on an estate sized lot (.7acre+), this 3500 sq ft architect designed home features a master suite with den, bedroom, walk in closet, and bath with bidet and toilet in separate toilet room. The living/dining room is huge and was built for entertaining with built in speakers, a master radio control that pipes music into all rooms, and an intercom system... Plus a wood burning, gas ignited fireplace with a bank of SE facing windows that provide some solar heating. The kitchen has an attached breakfast room, with numerous cabinets, that also line the hall area to the guest bathroom and laundry room. The house has an outdoor speaker system, and is wired for a security system. There is a huge wood burning stove in the den which is part of the master suite. The doctor who had the house built was a hunter and perhaps survivalist as evidenced by the underground wine cellar/ food storage area and adjoining meat locker with commercial cooler and huge meat smoker on deck with outdoor kitchen/ fireplace. Plus there is a hidden floor safe, luggage room, and solarium: All this plus a 2 car garage, and bonus garage/ storage room, plus dedicated under cover truck and/or RV parking with electric outlet, hot and cold water, and vacuum hose connections. The perimeter has a chain link fence topped with barbed wire, probably grandfathered in. There is 2x6 construction even in some of the interior walls. I will email you the original architect plans upon request, or you are welcome to come by and look at them. The daylight basement, contains the second full living area with 2 bedrooms, or alternately, one bedroom and one sewing room; a bathroom with shower and a full kitchen/living area with custom cabinetry built to match the upstairs cabinets. The space is additionally heated by a vigorous Jotul gas heater. An electric heat pump provides basic heating for the whole house. This house has provided wonderful shelter for the past twelve years, but is too much house for me as I am now single. The house was built in 1979, and furnished with top of the line fixtures at the time, but is outdated by today's standards, tho all systems are in good working condition. I have refrained from cosmetic updates, except for LO VOC paint in some of the rooms, because I think it is better done to a future homeowners tastes, but I have researched costs and gotten estimates, as to the most likely upgrades including bathroom (outdated fixtures), kitchen counters (now formica), and swimming pool repairs, (missing tiles), possible replacement of filters, pump etc. You will live on a secure cul de sac, with quiet, friendly, and respectful neighbors. This subdivision is well managed and organized with instant email communications between management and homeowners and provides a great sense of security along with the fact that there is only way in or out of the subdivision. HOA fees are about 150.00 ayear, The county and city governments are conservative and fiscally responsible. The area is surrounded by farm and timberland and the house directly adjoins an open area with hiking trails and with plenty of wildlife, and accessible only to home owners in the subdivision. Given the downturn in values, we had the county reassess the property and as a result the tax assessment has also been revised and lower taxes placed on the property than previously. About 3700. Previously taxes were over 5K. All materials are pretty much original to the house, so they have had sufficient time to off gas except for the areas that have been newly carpeted. Organic methods have been used in garden areas. I have used vinegar for weed control instead of round up, and no weed and feed in the lawn areas. The raised garden beds have been covered with black plastic for the season and to smother out weeds. My price is reasonable for this area, considering square footage and size of lot. Estimate to rebuild this house is a half million which is what the house is insured for; but I need to move on and am looking for a quick sale or will have to rent out the property. There are no taxes due on this property and it is not in foreclosure! If you would be interested in renting, please contact me. You will need to have good financial references. Rent has been suggested to me by professional rental agency of 2400.00 a month, but I can go lower if you are willing to do basic yard and house maintenance and have good financial references. Some afterthoughts: In addition to a very large paved driveway, there is a built in vacuum system; in ground sprinkler system with some conversions to drip irrigation in raised beds, and lots and lots of kitchen cabinet space: outdoor kitchen cabinet space, downstairs kitchen cabinet space; walk in closet in master suite two very large (over 6') hall closets, one downstairs and one upstairs, all wired for light. Both the solarium and laundry room have their own sinks, in addition to the regular 3 kitchen sinks...primary, downstairs, and outdoor. No expense was spared in giving this house every amenity possible. It has great bones. All it needs are your own clever cosmetic updates to flesh it out and you will have a great personalized space at reasonable cost.
