5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBear Creek is an okay school. The teachers care about helping students and are always ready to answer questions. There are also lots of clubs and sports to join, which helps students make friends and have fun.The students are friendly, and many feel like they belong. The school tries to create a good environment and listens to student feedback. While it has some challenges, like crowded classrooms, Bear Creek is a place where students can learn and grow. It may not be perfect, but it supports its students well.Student Review8mo ago12 Reviews - Christa McAuliffe Middle School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLearning: The teachers help me with things I don't understand. Like in math, I got from a D to an A. As somebody with autism, Special Education helps me with my things and speech issues and ways to talk to students without being weird. A lot of them are pretty nice and understanding of issues overall. The school is not necessarily safe, even if the teachers are nice, a lot of them can't control the classroom and fights break out. At least they are quick to stop it. The kids are sometimes mean, but most are pretty accepting of other students they don't know. I am pretty sure that they do this for students who need extra help as they ask for what is up when issues occur at school. The school is okay, as long as you can deal with some of the annoying students and don't push them, you should be okay.Student Review2y ago6 Reviews - Manlio Silva Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son had an amazing first grade year here I wish I could say teachers names he was the best. As we went into second grade year every thing changed his teacher made life hard, continuously singling my son out, his grades were dropping, we had a meeting and he was failing at all in class work not homework but in class work it literally took us parents and the vice principal to suggest proper tools to help him but mind you his second grade teacher is going on to be a principal…. During our parent teacher conference I requested my son have more assistance due to him falling behind and his testing dropping it was getting to the point my son just genuinely hated school this woman just made his day to day life so miserable. When I made the request she told me we were not quite there yet but when I brought it to the vice principals attention to get the help all of a sudden she took credit and acted as if she was on the same page. When I tell you the entire year from start to finish was an issue from getting makeup work, to communication it got to the point why was my son even there? I even requested a new teacher but classes were full the principal gave me half solutions with no action behind them just empty words on the other end I think he knew he was leaving the school as well so he didn’t care just wanted me to be civil we also decided to move out of the area. What really drove me is they became so focused on attendance when my son was crying about how he was being treating I was literally losing sleep at night on sending him to school the days I would make him go he would try and sit with his 1st grade teacher the only reason I didn’t pull him was because at this point we were so close to the end of the year it seemed relentless. I have older children almost graduating students and out of all the years I’ve been dealing with schools this was most definitely our worst experience. It’s just unfortunate when you do get that one bad no one helps or cares the staff comes before the students. What put icing on the cake for me was my son ended up with a 1 day suspension for literally helping his friend who was punched in the face and ended up with a bloody nose. The child who hit my son’s friend my son pushed out of the way to check on his friend when that boy stood up he started punching my son in the back of his head and neck my son said “hey stop let’s get a teacher” upon doing so my son gets suspended for starting a fight.Parent Review10mo ago13 Reviews - Check out schools near Zuckerman Rd.

"Amazing schools and tons of parks. It’s a very safe town. It’s grown but still feels like a small community. There are a lot of activities for kids. The town is growing and has many restaurants and grocery store options with more to come."

"I used to work in Tracy and did a reverse commute to Tracy from San Ramon. I've seen a lot of growth since then. Neighboring Mountain House was just being developed. Now, Tracy is booming and real estate values have gotten out of hand even for Tracy. The Tracy Hills development is crazy expensive and there is currently no infrastructure there. If you can afford to live in Tracy, the Redbridge area of homes is best. Reminds me of a bygone era of tree lined streets and and beautiful homes with some being semi-custom. There is not a lot to do here, the mall is small and the only restaurant that is worth going to is Texas Road House. Most residents would likely travel to Livermore's downtown less than 20 mile west to enjoy great food and wineries. All in all, this is a "bedroom community" with a lot of commuters heading out as far as San Jose to work yet wanting to afford a home and build some roots."

"Mountain House is good for very young children, but school age children find it boring as there is no downtown area or attractions, not even a grocery store or gas station. The weather is also very hot sunny and windy, so being outside can often be unpleasant for about half the year except for dawn and dusk in the summer. "

"Music festivals bring in local musicians and musicians from the area. The music is very good and they set out chairs for you and there are a variety of food sold from trucks and beverages. Also the local restaurants are open and cater to the crowd. Farmers markets are nice to go to to support local farmers. There are many other events including Tracy Lions groups breakfast fundraisers. They have ball draws and events at the Elks Lodge. Check the Tracy Press online for more."

"We don’t have community events here other than garage sales or neighborhood forum on social media. Where the people of Tracy reports things that are happening in our area. Sometimes it’s positive other times it can be quite alarming, but despite all of that I still love it here. Within 5-10 minutes we have multiple banks, DMV, Mall, Movie theater, car dealership, Costco, target, homegoods, Marshall’s, Home Depot, target, Walmart. Etc"
