    Description

Live in an oil painting where sun-dappled green and brown woods reflect on still water framed by wildflowers and granite outcroppings. Three lots combine to provide the freedom and space for building your dream home in the woods while the fourth lot offers a cool escape from summer heat and unimaginable views--your own private swim quarry fed by natural springs. The site is both a gateway to scenic wilderness--it abuts an entrance to the 3,600 acres historic Dogtown - and a surprisingly accessible sanctuary just minutes from Rockport village and beaches. All the requirements are in place for building--an easement is in place for town water and sewer, the town wetlands commission and conservation committee have approved permitting to support construction of a home, the land has been surveyed and staked. Bring your own vision and lifestyle, be it active or artistic or both, and experience the beauty of nature at a level rarely found in today's world.

"Very small town, not a lot of diversity. Public High School graduating classes under 70 kids. Community is oldest median age in the state. Lovely programs in sports, art and music offered. Scouting available for both boys and girls. Millbrook meadow and elementary school have playgrounds, handicap accessible play area at the elementary school. "

"the Emerson hotel is across the street. and the sunrise is over the ocean view from the back yard of three Emerson hotel, awesome site to see off of green St. "
    • Sstiptin
"Lovely neighborhood! Friendly people, gorgeous homes. Some complaints, coyote problems, especially in the summer. Other wild animals such as foxes, coy-wolves and fishercats roam the streets."
    • Caron
"It is a picturesque seaside town. You are able to walk to the beach, restaurants and shops. It is very family friendly. "
    • Barb M.
"I loved it here and will forever be sorry I left. The only problem were the schools, the kids grow up and leave, there is nothing here for them. Parking is horrible the town makes their money off parking tickets which has effectively stifled down town sales growth. not much night life except for the new music venue on Main Street, they have notable talent, worthy of a trip in from Boston and surrounding areas.
