"I’ve lived in point Marion my entire life. McKinley Hill and school house bill are the neighborhoods of choice in this community"
  • Robin M.
"Its a wonderful neighborhood to live in, with a park, river amenities, very friendly neighbors, and businesses, a real home town community"
  • Rnrjewelry
"We’ve lived here for 17 years, everyone is friendly, and anyone would help you, if needed. Local park, fishing, boating and Sheepskin Trail access. Minutes from both Uniontown PA and Morgantown WV"
  • Travis B. H.
"The perfect little waterfront Village with bike trails and national parks surrounding it. Bike to downtown Morgantown or a round cheat lake or hike the miles of trail at friendship hill national park. There are a few marinas for docking boats and a super friendly small town atmosphere. Life is very good in Pennsylvania with its only 3% income tax, one of the lowest in the country, yet we are a 20min drive to the major medical centers, shopping, and fine dining, and performing arts and sports of Morgantown, WV. Apple Annie's cafe is a all time local favorite with killer deserts and a huge breakfast and lunch and Connie's Pizza & Pies are the best in western PA with an XXL pizza that will NOT fit in most people's cars. The river road going along the cheat is beautiful any time of year and easy to ride your bike on with children because there is not much traffic. Albert galleon time also has his homestead here, and enormous mansion that has free tours daily and has amazing tour guides. The garden and grounds are perfect for picnic and photos and there are deer running ramped among the ground, the home sits on a large bluff over looking the water. Real estate in town is Surprisingly affordable compared to the over built Morgantown area and the new toll highway connects point Marion with Pittsburgh within 45min to an hour. And Morgantown with in 15-20min. Morgantown also has a commercial airport with daily flights to wash dc and the major cities in the Ohio area. We moved to Point Marion from Los Angeles California and was very happy and surprised to find Asians, black, Indians, and whites living happily together in this small village of 1000 people. They have their own local police department that make house calls and checks up on the elderly, very friendly and inviting. The village also has an annual Regatta, a fair, two major parades a year, annual yard sale, bake offs, baseball teams, garden club glass museum, Free summer movies in the park, and lots more"
