5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI currently work at ACA. The teachers, teaching assistants, and office staff are genuinely dedicated and caring individuals. There is only a handful that aren't dedicated and don't seem to care about students or their coworkers. I've worked at ACA since it opened. We have roughly 175 employees, including all positions. If I look through our email system, I would guess that around 75 of us have been here since it opened or started in that first year. We have a high turnover rate, which brings me to the point of this review. The main administration at our school, from the principal, Mr. Voytko, to the 4 assistant principals, does not support the teachers and staff. Aurelia M Cole's legacy that every child will have the chance to become a champion is being destroyed by the principal and his leadership. He doesn't believe that every child deserves to be a champion. He believes that his higher achievers and his students who come from a higher socioeconomic status deserve to be champions, but our special needs students and our behavior students are not supported or given the accommodations they require and deserve! My opinion is shared by at least 50 percent... maybe 65 percent of our entire staff. I could give names and titles, but I would never because he already demotes and fires people without giving them write ups or constructive criticism and a chance to redeem themselves. I will continue to do my job to educate our students whom I love like my own, to be a team player to my coworkers who are like family and to honor the great legacy of Aurelia M. Cole!Teacher Review2mo ago5 Reviews - Check out schools near West Ave.

"Very quiet, safe, and friendly place. The city that I used to live in would leave me paranoid. Now that I live here, I’d walk down the street at 3 AM with no worries because I feel safe."

"Great parks and walking trails. Beautiful hills with beautiful views. Lots of nice places to shop and eat. Farmers market on Sundays and a lot of festivals downtown. Lake Minneola is beautiful and also full of activities. It’s a place that’s growing a lot and very fast but still feels very family oriented."

"I've been in Clermont since 2001 and urban sprawl has consumed the beauty of what Clermont used to be. The beautiful rolling hills are pretty much gone. It's become an overcrowded and overpriced sea of subdivisions ruled by the standard nazi organizations (HOA's). Then there are the expensive apartment complexes adding to the mix of shoving more people into the area."
