Hello,I am a senior student at Elkhorn Area High School and would like to share my experience. Objectively, the school offers many positives: a wide selection of extracurriculars, most AP and Honors classes, and generally good opportunities for students. The facilities are well-maintained, and there is a solid selection of teachers.However, I want to highlight some concerns that parents may not see immediately. Over recent years, the student experience has become increasingly stressful. For me personally, ongoing sleep deprivation has been a challenge, and the school often responds with disciplinary measures — from lunch detentions to in-school suspensions, and even threats of monetary fines for disorderly conduct. School days have also grown longer due to budget decisions, and some long-standing policies that students appreciated, like late starts, have been removed.Because of these factors, I personally have found the environment increasingly difficult, and I am left questioning whether continuing here is worthwhile. While the school has many strengths, I feel compelled to caution parents to carefully consider whether it is the right fit for their children.

Most honest reviewPros-good teachers-the principle is very friendly (even to misbehaving student like ya boy)Cons-just basic middle school hooligans(Which isnt bad btw)Experience-zero nicotine use (that i have seen)(except those 2023 8th graders but thats gone)-no bullying -really easy to get friends/find a friend groupOverall -Me personally I have enjoyed my time at elkhorn area middle school, and would definitly recommend this school.

Tibbets school has been a blessing to my kids. I have two sons that just loved it. I have a son with intellectual disability and ADHD and the special education team worked so hard with him. They really did an exceptional job! Mr. Wells is a rare gem, he's a wonderful principal.
