All 3 of my kids went to Acadia and had excellent experiences. The way the staff make transitioning 6th graders welcome, and all of the activities they have to get involved in are well organized and help provide a well rounded education that prepared my children well for high school and on to college. This school district is one of the reasons we settled in Clifton Park after 11+ years of moving around the U.S. with the military.

The secretary won’t hesitate to try and guilt trip you to adhere to “what other parents do” when faced with a crisis which I found to be completely inappropriate. The principal is a bit of a pushover and won’t really stand up to HIS staff. My oldest was the subject of Islamophobia at the end of the year. One of the other kids from another class tore her Hijab off her head and I didn’t hear A THING about it until I picked my daughter from daycare without her hijab… we later went to the park that they visited and found it but there was NO explanation, apology (for obviously NOT protecting my child while in her care. The teacher was Jennifer Ducharme so be careful leaving your kid(s) in her class. That said,i won’t deny that the school’s teaching methods are effective seeing that my kids have indeed gotten smarter and were in fact given tools to further learning.

This school is terrible today my friends smelled paint thinner which is known to cause cancer the last few days they smelt smoke and bad smells having to cover their nose the school is not whatsoever worried about the safety of students there was a student who brought in a BB gun the few months ago someone brought in brass knuckles and another nunchucks the school could’ve bought a metal detector for the front door but instead they used all the money on weight lifting and gym equipment all they care about is sports,money and themselves not ever the students
