If you have a high schooler please just look at a different school. If you haven't grown up here then no one will stand up for you or your child when your child is being targeted.

This school is hands down the BEST school I have ever come across in all of my 40 years. I'm a mother of 4; my youngest having ASD-2 and ADHD. After he started kindergarten in a different district and had a horrible experience, I switched him and I am so happy I did. My 3 neurotypical children did fine in the other district, my special needs son however was treated poorly, punished, left behind and scarred from the experience which stripped him of his love for learning and took almost a year to reverse. Now he's now in his final year at Oakwood (2) and I simply can not say enough about how wonderful each and every staff at Oakwood is. From the support staff to the general ed staff, to the special ed staff, they are all phenomenal: skilled, compassionate, resourceful, empathetic, and simply some of the best humans I have ever come across. They care about the kids and have formed relationships with my son that I have no doubt will influence him on his journey through school and life. If you have a child with autism, they will be in great hands at Oakwood. I wish I could package this school and give it to every child.

This is a nice school the teachers are great but the ways they teach are not the best

I believe Portland public schools and curriculum is absolutely bar far one of the best
