NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBriargate is a good school but the students are bad, or at least some of them are. This school has had so many fights, and especially 5th grade, which is the grade I'm in right now, they tell each others business and that starts fights or they talk about each other to just their friends and the other person hears it and they fight or they pick fights in front of everyone. The students will never or couldn't care for any lesson taught unless it is a challenge or something fun, this school is just something else but from a students perspective who everyone can trust and has never gotten in trouble before, this school is very nice and funny. Once a teacher made her students walk the halls and everyone was crying but one teacher stood up to her but the teacher wasn't fired, (by the way, the teacher had them walking for at least 2 hours when the other teacher confronted her).Other Review3y ago3 Reviews - Willowridge High School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy experience at WHS was amazing. Teachers are very supportive of students who truly want to succeed, and will go out of their way to help you get there. Teachers here also form great relationships with the students. Several of my former teachers at WHS truly shaped me into who I am today. WHS is unfairly labeled as a "bad" or "low performing" campus, which in my opinion is nothing more than rumors and stereotypes. It is what you make of it. If you go in with the right attitude, are respectful, and truly want to learn, you will excel. If more parents would actually give the school a chance, rather than transfer their children elsewhere based on rumors, the school might develop a better reputation. My experience at Willowridge was second to none, and you will be equally successful here if you try. Class of 2015, Go Eagles!Other Review9y ago7 Reviews - Christa McAuliffe Middle School

"I’ve lived here 25 years and we love it. Meyerland is one of Houston’s gems. 15 minutes by car to the Texas Medical Center and 20 minutes from downtown Houston."

"People are not friendly, like don’t talk to each other. Most of the people. Not all. But not saying it isn’t safe. It is a real diverse neighborhood. Races, cultures, and ages. Beautiful, parks nearby. Plenty of nightlife and restaurants and Food trucks"

"I’m actually searching for the right location. I have known about this area for many years and would recommend it to anyone. Seeing that I was raised and resided in the Southeast and surrounding Bay Area, I highly recommend this location. I also practiced Real Estate for 20+ years outside my primary employment, the area is highly sought after. I am looking to downsize to a location for myself seeing that both of my children have graduated from College and now happily married. I am also widowed and this location appeals to my style of living for many years to come. More information will be requested by me. Thank you "

"We don’t do anything in this neighborhood. Everyone keeps to themselves and as of recent our vehicles have been getting broken into. The water valves don’t work for lawn care and they charge mandatory $100 maintenance and the grass/trees are still your responsibility. "

"There are lots and lots of dogs in our neighborhood. Dog walkers are out around the neighborhood most of the day, but it really picks up in the late afternoon and early evening. Most yards here are small, so daily walks are important."
