My child attended Murphy K-6, 2019-2026 and had a very good experience. My child is typical, English is their first language, and is higher than average socio-economically.My child's last year was Mr. Rey's first year and he came in with enthusiasm, putting many best practices into place throughout the school.Our favorite teachers who are still there: Ms. Nichols, Ms. Crocker, Mrs. Mendoza, Ms. Figone and Mr. Stone. I know there are many more wonderful teachers that we didn't get to experience. Most years my child didn't receive homework. Students receive numbers instead of letter grades. Most grade levels offer field trip experiences.Older grades have opportunities for school involvement such as Junior Coaching, flag raising, and safety patrol.There are several events throughout the school year when parents are invited on campus either to volunteer or spectate.Unfortunately, the band program at Murphy right now is not very motivating. And the PTSA was always on-again, off-again.

"I commute to the city almost everyday. Hilltop Green is right off the freeway with AC transit busses that come down the hill into our neighborhood. It's easier if you have a car that is HOV lane accessible. It is a nice quiet place to live in an overall friendly community "
