8/10 very good, however the way they promote things aren’t the most effective.

Our entire experience at this school has been negative and I cannot stress it enough.- No positive reinforcement. No incentive to get good grades. No classes for kids who are advanced and no reasons to get a good grade. You can fail two classes and still participate in sports. - No PTO- very unwelcoming to parents- The kids night have no parent volunteers and a cop sitting outside saying you can’t go in the building. The principal creates a very hostile environment towards families. Fear of retaliation from her is real and one of the reasons families don’t speak up. - Swim in PE. You get one free miss of swim without punishment. After that the student has to make it up during study hall or after school. (Not every kid has a study hall- mine didn’t.) if you can’t swim due to being on her period and can’t wear a tampon, you still have to make up missed classes. Personally, I think this is gender discrimination because a girl cannot control when they have a period or if they can wear tampons. Some girls start their period as early as 3rd grade. So the school is asking girls to wear tampons as young as 11 years old or they’re punished. I don’t understand how this doesn’t fall under title IX but, like I said, don’t speak up or ask questions because it will only make the situation worse. Also, I had to buy my kid a $122 period swimsuit for the class. How does this not discriminate against families who are economically disadvantaged? And, the Title IX officer is the PRINCIPAL. Google it. So you can’t file title IX against her or the school because she is a bully and will bully you so you keep quiet. - Restroom breaks are done via the child’s Chromebook. The student sends a message to the teacher. Once the teacher approves it, the child has 4 minutes to use the restroom before a time goes off on the students Chromebook. If you’re not in your seat before the timer rings you are punished. (Watertown High School is similar) - Also, they’ll have police question your child and will never contact you, the parent. And they will never apologize for doing it because nothing they do is wrong and everything they do is justified. So don’t ask. - The school has an earlier start date than the high school. Bus pickups start as early as 5:30 for a 7:15 school start time. This means many kids are getting up before 5am. How are kids supposed to learn with that early of a wake up? Don’t like it? Well the bus is a privilege not a right and your kid can find their own ride.

Best school in New York!!! The staff, the principal, teachers and the curriculum are all very exceptional. I really love this school. Out of all the schools my children been to while we were serving in the military this one have been the best! I purposely waited to the end of the year before writing this because I'm like this school just been perfect last wait til the end to see, but Lord behold they are still doing an fantastic job!! I think we are going to stay here because this school have been a huge support, encouragement and biggest community during during our military careers. My kids teacher leave me updates and the staff are really personal with the kids. They are truly Godsend. They encourage the kids every day and my kids receive services, this school has help my children excel because of the great curriculum they have and encouraging teachers, staff, and facility!! God Bless Calcium prime school and everyone who attends.

I heard the nothing but great things about this school and it must be true. The office staff is amazing. My son's teachers, Mr. Hebert and Mrs. Fowler are amazing! The atmosphere difference from Calcium Primary and this school is like night and day. I am looking forward to an awesome year. People truly do make all the difference.
