we are having some challenges with this school. it seems there is a great deal of attention paid to the standards, and not much attention paid to enriching kids to need more stimulation/challenges. The principal is not very forthcoming with parents - there was a recent decision that parents would no longer be allowed to send in treats for a child's birthday celebration - with no reporting on WHY that decision was made. several months later, in a newsletter, there was mention of prevalent allergies and fairness to parents who can't afford to buy something (because treats had to be store bought). the PTO means well, there are a few involved parents, but not many. the meetings are always in the evening and not always convenient for working parents. they are providing for some extra activities for the kids on fridays occassionally. This seems to be an average school, which seems to support their students in an average fashion. I agree with an earlier comment that teachers are moved around between grades and may not be best equipped to support students where they are placed.

This school doesn’t care about its students. Students are not protected in any way by the administration. They don’t do anything about bullying or students harassing others. I have had multiple instances where I was bullied and the school did absolutely nothing. Teachers are also extremely unprofessional and same with administrators
