8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhen you see National School of Excellence on the sign outside of the school you set high expectations for me as a parent. My two daughters have gone to Gowana and this school has lived up to my expectations. The addition of notebooks, tablets and chrome books shows that they really are trying to take education into the 21 century. Most all of the teachers use the parent portal to post grades, assignments and use e-mai to communicate. As a busy family it really helps keep us a parents engaged and on top of our students work before problems can arise. I am very glad I bought my home in this school district as it is large enough to have all of the bells and whistles but small enough for us to feel like we have a community. I look forward to my son attending Gowana in the future.Parent Review12y ago6 Reviews - Karigon Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have had 3 of my children that have gone to Karigon and my youngest is still going there. The level of instruction, professional staff and activities have been outstanding. The teachers always try to put my child in a class with a teacher that meets their needs. That level of selection has really helped my children not only enjoy going to school but to actually learn. As a parent I have always felt welcome in the school but not compromising safety of the children.Parent Review12y ago1 Reviews - Shenendehowa High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is terrible today my friends smelled paint thinner which is known to cause cancer the last few days they smelt smoke and bad smells having to cover their nose the school is not whatsoever worried about the safety of students there was a student who brought in a BB gun the few months ago someone brought in brass knuckles and another nunchucks the school could’ve bought a metal detector for the front door but instead they used all the money on weight lifting and gym equipment all they care about is sports, money and themselves not ever the studentsOther Review2y ago14 Reviews - Check out schools near Ushers Rd.

"I have lived here for 3 years. I plan on raising my kids here. Shen schools are the best and the community is awesome. Everything you need is here and it eliminates the need to go to Albany unless you absolutely have to. Taxes are reasonable and major outings are average 20-25 minute drive in any direction. Why live anywhere else?"

"We have parades for 4th of July and Labor Day. Fireworks in the community park every year. Our fire district goes around the entire community with Santa every year so all you need to do is go to the end of your driveway! They also throw a HUGE Halloween party every year at their main station. "
