Easy to drive to, sandy loamy soil, great for gardens, wildlife in the area so you will need to fence and net unless you are gardening for the Deer and Elk. Pretty views in each direction, neighbors in the distance. Truly the feeling of OUT THERE and still very close to town. Silver Springs is an area about 30 miles east of Kingman off of Interstate 40. The elevation is higher at between 4000 to 5000 feet. The area has pinion and junipers and is cooler than Kingman and a lot cooler than the deserts of Phoenix and the city of Las Vegas (about 2 1/2 hours away).

      "I lived out of city limits for 6 years. Kingman was once a little town with Stockton Hill Road once being two lanes and all dirt. In coming back now after a 3 year absence, I can't say I am much impressed. The drug problem is still widespread, Birdland looks worse than ever, and houses are being built as fast and as close together as possible. But where are good paying jobs? Where are cultural experiences? Where is diversity? Where is industry and city planning? Kingman has potential, but the sudden influx of those fleeing California shows the town is growing out, not up. Kingman needs long range goals to retain its new residents and attract others. I hope the next time I visit for a sustained period of time that I feel better about this town. "
