3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school isn't horrible but it's a far stretch from great. I've been here for a few years and not every teacher is good or enthusiastic about their job (there's actually quite a lot that aren't, unfortunately). Fights happen every now and then, and many students do not respect for each other so the social atmosphere is pretty toxic. Counselors also struggle to reply to emails if at all regardless of how important the matter is (it has caused me to miss some deadlines), and a lot of teachers don't really care if students do well or not since they place a heavier emphasis on it being the student's responsibility- making the classroom environment feel pretty unsupportive. Also, while it's not often, teachers here can be surprisingly petty too and take on a less professional demeanor at times. As for the workload, it can be tedious but it's usually not overwhelming in numbers. However, on some days, you can have multiple tests on the same day which makes things pretty stressful because it assumes students are actually loaded with free time outside of school to study for all of them, which isn't the case for many. The curriculum can also move very slow and it's not good for students way ahead academically. Overall, Annandale High school is quite below average in many ways.Student Review6mo ago15 Reviews - Holmes Middle School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI witnessed bullying in this classroom. You saw students target one kid during class. The behavior lasted several minutes. The teacher watched and stayed silent. This failure matters. When staff ignore bullying, harm increases.Studies show repeated bullying rises when adults do not intervene.Students learn silence equals approval. You expect teachers to step in.You expect clear rules and enforcement. You did not get either here. The school needs action.Staff need training on intervention.Administrators need to review this incident.Students deserve safety during class time.I do not recommend this classroom. You should report what you saw.Change starts with documented facts.Student Review3mo ago10 Reviews - North Springfield Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur son went to NS elementary from kindergarten to 5th grade to NS elementary. He had a great experience and loved all his teachers. I think the 5 star rating does not reflect how good the teachers or the overall quality of the school and students. Any student with special needs are given the extra help and care to make them feel comfortable to help them along. Chad, the principle, as well as his staff, really made the extra effort to help my son when needed. I would recommend North Springfield elementary to any parent who is looking for a quality education for their kids.Parent Review6y ago9 Reviews - Check out schools near Unit.

"I live here since 2018 and we like it so much especially it’s safe and kid’s friendly environment. Every thing is close to our house shopping center, restaurants, multiple playgrounds and the beautiful public library. As for our neighbors they are kind, helpful and friendly let a lone kids can play around with each other and have fun. We really like the community and for sure recommend everyone to move in here and relocate for a better place."
