4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe majority of the staff truly care about the students and prioritize their well-being. It’s important to remember that some students face difficult circumstances at home, including trauma beyond their control, which can sometimes manifest as challenging behavior — but this only represents a small portion of the student body.As a parent, your role is to stay involved: ask questions, monitor ALL social media, and support your child’s education. This is essential no matter what school your child attends.Lincoln Middle School is full of school spirit, positive energy, and a community that genuinely wants the best for its students.Other Review10mo ago12 Reviews - Oceanside High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is horrible for individuals with disabilities. On the first day of school, the elevator was broken--staff insisted a student with a physical disability to use the stairs, which is an ADA violation. Academically, staff do not follow students' IEPs or needs, so parents must monitor closely to prevent mistreatment. Communication is poor, it takes a long time to get a response from staff via email or phone. If you have a student with an IEP, consider taking them elsewhere. If not, ensure their services are implemented at this school. Students with physical disabilities or learning challenges may require alternative options, such as out-of-district placement with transportation at the districts expense. To substantiate your claims, gather supporting evidence. If your request is denied, make sure it's in writing. You may need to file for due process with a special education attorney. Overall, the lack of support for students with disabilities and IEPs is a significant concern at this school.Parent Review6mo ago22 Reviews - South Oceanside Elementary School

"Not a place to raise a family. Schools are bad and a lot homeless people. I would suggest Carlsbad "

"There are Plenty of dog owners in the area that are very friendly. However, I wish that they had more dog parka in the area, especially at the beach. If there was a dog beach I would enjoy this area much better."

"There is no dog beach or dog park it’s like a dog stuff desert, makes no sense considering there’s so many pups out here. But it’s nice "

"Oceanside was a bit sketchy when I was growing up, but now it’s a hub for artists and new businesses. Lots of good restaurants, brewery’s, and other small hip businesses are flourishing. "

"Mostly adult singles and couples. Few teens, fewer small children but that appears to be changing as more small families are moving into the neighborhood. Gentrification is on in a big way here with property values climbing quickly. It is a walkable urban, beachside neighborhood. I love downtown Oceanside, but I could get priced out soon, which is sad. Good bye locals, hello real estate investors. "

"This is an up and coming area that should be fantastic in a few years, but still has a little bit of a sketchy vibe. I wouldn’t let a child walk alone, but should generally be safe if with an adult."

"I’ve lived in this neighborhood for 4 years and the only problem I’ve had was noise. People like to blast their music and have loud parties late at night. You can also sometimes hear drunk people or couples arguing. Other than that it’s been nice living in Oceanside."

"It took a couple of years but I love it here, the quiet zone ( No Train horn) is expected to take effect the end of June and two new resorts down the street, so many new restaurants in the past couple of years..and home values have appreciated beyond expectations "

"I’ve been here two years. I like the feel of the place, for a small city it’s not bad. As a country girl it’s taken some getting used to, tho!"

"I see lots of dogs walking every day! However there are rarely homes with yard space available close to the beach. "
