6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have had one child to graduate from this school and I currently have one that attends this school. If your child is a quick learner then they will be ok but if your child needs a little help then this is not the school that you want to place your child. I have a child that one minute the teachers will say that she is doing well but when the report card comes home it does not reflect prior conversations. Parents are treated like outsiders and if you are a working parent don't expect to make any of their meetings or after school programs because they start at 5 or earlier. I truly hope to move my child from hereParent Review8y ago5 Reviews - East Garner Middle

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagehi im a current student here and this school is terrible and i would not recommend this school because all the teacher quit or dont teach good this year atleast 5 teacher quit mid year and the other teachers teach terrible its such a bad school and they dont pay attention to your mental health atleast half of this school is depressed and the learning here is so bad they dont really teach the teachers are just there for their paycheck because we mainly just watch videos and you most kids get iss because their so bad and the students like to yell scream make threats and just overall bad and i dont feel safe in this school becuase theirs alot of racistim bulling cyberbulling and a whole much other this school is overall bad and the building is all dirty and brokenStudent Review3mo ago15 Reviews - Garner High

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI’m a current student, and I honestly feel like this school needs to take a closer look at how students are being treated and supported. Many of us feel overworked, disrespected, and looked down on if we aren’t in IB or AP classes. Students who struggle don’t get help — they get judged or embarrassed instead. Some teachers seem more focused on control or reputation than actually helping students learn. Public humiliation in class, rude or unprofessional behavior, and a lack of understanding toward students’ mental health are real issues here. There are also teachers who don’t explain material clearly or waste instructional time, which makes students have to teach themselves. It’s discouraging when you want to learn but don’t feel supported. This school could be great if the administration took student feedback seriously and emphasized respect, empathy, and actual teaching over appearances. Students shouldn’t leave class feeling smaller than when they walked in.Student Review6mo ago10 Reviews - Check out schools near Timber Dr.

"It’s a dog friendly area. Most of the homes on the neighborhood has a minimum of at least one dog. You can walk your dog in the area and your children can ride their bikes in the neighborhood as well. The neighborhood is nice and the neighbors speak to one another as often as they can. Some of the neighborhood children even go to the same school or may even be in the same classroom depending of grade level. Also the schools within the area are good as well. "

"HOA Events for the community. This, with email traffic, keeps everyone informed on what’s going on, thus, providing very good situational awareness not only in our subdivision, but also our community overall."

"Nosey Neighbors that complain to each other and pass rumors without getting to know you. the neighborhood is made up of mostly retired folks that have lived here for 20+ years. They don't like young families or large dogs."
