Currently, my child is doing well and is getting the support needed this year academically and emotionally. However, some of the teachers we have encountered in previous years have been less than impressive and made my child dislike going to school. There are several that are downright disrespectful to students and parents, even at the elementary and middle school levels. Unfortunately, it is not surprising because the principal of the high school talks down to students, parents and even teachers.In regard to athletics, the girls youth sports programs are terrible. Under developed, poorly coached and under funded… And the development doesn’t get much better in middle or high school from what we have witnessed. If your daughter is interested in sports look into non-school affiliated club or travel. She will get better development and coaching all around. Definitely commend the boys basketball program though. Their coaches run a great youth boys program all the way through high school and we think boys baseball and wrestling are pretty good too.As others have already stated, there is an issue with racism… small town mentality at its finest (sarcasm). I blame parents for that but unfortunately, it is definitely present in the schools.Another small town problem is favoritism of certain family names. If you’re of a certain family or group, your kids definitely receive preferential treatment. It’s to a point where it’s noticeable and felt throughout every school/grade level. You could try to bring legitimate concerns and/or complaints up with leadership but good luck with getting very far. As soon as you voice a legitimate issue or concern, it’s as if you are branded with a scarlet letter across your chest. The principal of the high school will talk down to you like you’re ignorant instead of trying to have a constructive and open conversation. And moving forward, any future concerns you have, you’re treated differently. This is the experience of many parents and even some teachers I have discussed this with.-Overall, academics are solid. Expect a pretty heavy load of homework to go along with it-Needs better youth programs for girls (and some varsity programs too)-Expect racism-Expect certain students and parents to receive preferential treatment-Expect some small town mentality barriers-There are several teachers and leaders who need to either retire or take a few emotional intelligence and communication continuing education courses ASAP.

This school has a horrible lunch monitor and the kids are way too rowdy, I don’t recommend any kids that are shy or have any social issues to go to this school

Love the school and staff! So glad that I open enrolled my kids here!
