4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school system, isn't preparing the kids for the real world, my kids never come home with books, they are just passing these kids along. I've never seem such a bunch of rude unprofessional teachers, they have educational degrees but they lack common sense. Quit trying to be these kids friend and teach them don't just pass them along. But then again maple heights as a whole has went from predominate home owners to mostly renters, they has nothing to do with it. It all starts at home, read to your kids, quiz them, check there homework. Quit buying all those name brand clothes and shoes and these electronic gadgets and focus on education. They should adapt the uniform policy, that so helps with the focus on education. Parents we gotta do better!Parent Review9y ago7 Reviews - Barack Obama Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers and the principal leave a lot to be desired, The are not equipped to handle any situation. They are not educators, they di not care about education a child, they suspend without investigating. They out right lie to parents and children. I have first hand experience. They try and label your child. The school is 95% african american, there might be 2 african american teachers, all other treachers are white and they are all just there is collect a paycheck. The children that are i the schools now are all section 8 families, that have migrated from the deepest projects you could imagine. The school neds to be closed down!Parent Review15y ago3 Reviews - Check out schools near Thomas St.
