"Most of the community events around here are for the businesses. Grandpa is a tourist community. As much as it is a great place to live the local businesses and put above the local residents."
  • Bridget
"Greenport is a beautiful waterfront community. Tourists just love it. there are lots of beautiful shops and restaurants and the Maritime community is exceptional. A small village Has many diverse restaurants and shops. Accessible by the waterfront, trains, buses and is very drivable from most parts of Long Island"

"Music in the park maritime festival and local beaches and parks. Carousel for the kids and the fishing docks."
  • Bhobam1
"You can take them on long walks and to the beach or have a large yard for them. It is a popular spot for dog owners and the vet is great"
  • Kimberly C. M. C.
"Greenport is the best kept secret around. Get away from the traffic & the congestion of the Hamptons and come to the North Fork where you can breathe, go on a wine tour, ride horses and more. If you are a boater, Greenport is definitely the place for you. I especially like Gull Pond, a protected deepwater harbor that opens to Gardiner's Bay (to the Hamptons and Shelter Island). Greenport was voted a Forbes magazine "Prettiest Town in America", and was recently discussed in the New York Times article "The Un-Hamptons". I love it in Greenport. It has everything you want from the Hamptons and so much more. For boaters, you can get your party on in the Hamptons in as little as 20 minutes by using the water, instead of the congested roads on the East End. There are many wholesome foods grown and made in the area as well as wine. Award-winning goat cheese, organic fruits, vegetables and herbs, wholesome raw milk, you name it, you can find it on the North Fork. "
