  • Fjt319
"The yards for most of the homes are spacious and we have the river walk and park very close. Also trails to hike"
  • Gingerackerman27
"It’s a easy place to drive around. Lots of beautiful views. Gas is also on the cheaper side. Everyone in this town know how to drive so there are rarely any accidents "
  • Jessjasonmcallister6
"Mountain View and river. The people are great, friendly and watch out for each other. It’s just getting someone to be real with you that’s hard. Honesty"
  • Bashambc

  • Manuel R.
"Everyone is friendly and no one will get in your business as all. This is a family neighborhood, is not dangerous at all. Has good school and good jobs, is a country neighborhood. "
  • Lindsey M.
"All the dogs bark at one another, it’s like long distance calling. Everyone knows everyone’s dogs. "
  • Manuel R.
"I’m from Chicago, recently move to canon city. To be honest, if your thinking of starting a family here and leave the big city to take care your family safety. Canon city is the best way to start one. Everyone is so nice, the commute is amazing. No one gives you problem only if your looking for it. "
  • Niki
"great community for families. several elementary school options and outdoor living is abundant here. "
  • Bashambc
"canon city will forever be my home town. its filled with large families, great retirement community and an overall compassionate, loving community. "
  • Marjorie W.
"we have blossom festival every May. Also daily train rides to the gorge which has tons of things to do."
  • Brandice M.
"When owners of dogs walk them, they are often accosted by other dogs aggressively barking and coming directly to the edge of the fence. It is not uncommon to see dogs outside all day, without their human companions around to make sure they don't repeat this behavior consistently. "
  • Niki
"great access to hiking trails, downtown and fun summer events in local parks. Family focused and great community. "
  • Tcarlsoncp
"we are a small town. I personally live in an adult park, but houses around do have children, and you see them out playing, riding bikes, etc. I skipped the question about walking alone after dark, because there are deer, and in some areas a rare spotting of other wild animals, and since I am older and walk with a cane, I would not walk alone. But, safety wise, I would feel safe. just worried about my own walking ability."
  • Vallie G.
"Every year we have a neighborhood party for Christmas. We exchange gifts. We always look out for each others homes."
  • Tcarlsoncp
"quiet neighborhood. in adult. park, dirt roads thru park. nice area. less tax due to being outside city limits."
  • Taryn.nokea
"None that I know of or have been invited to I’m sure there are a lot here however the people some of these events attract it’s more like a soup kitchen. "
  • Tcarlsoncp
