7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDo not ever let your child go to this school. I have seen so many schools but this is the worst. The teacher does not know how to handle their job or just work for fun as I can see with their attitude. The school district is also ridiculous when they make poor kids come back in July and does not have any sports or healthy activities for the kids. This school also does not know how to manage the car line (especially the teachers never help the kid with their heavy backpack) they don't allow kid to leave the stuff in the class but also let them carry such a heavy backpack everyday.Parent Review7mo ago10 Reviews - Oak Grove Upper Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLuckily, this school is excellent since currently there are no alternatives without paying private tuition! Soon there will be another school, but for now at least you can feel good about sending your child here. Have had excellent teachers for both grades and feel that things are fairly well organized. Both teachers have been very involved and teach with a mixture of discipline and flexibilty that I believe works best with groups of children in this age group. PE twice a week, and art, music and library once. Computers and permethian (sp?) boards in every class.Parent Review14y ago1 Reviews - Check out schools near Steelman Rd.

"Our neighborhood is full of animal lovers, both dogs and cats. Many of the sidewalks and alleys are shaded on and off throughout the day. "

"It’s a lakes community just outside Hattiesburg that was started in the 1960s. Lots are 1.25 - 6 acres with the larger lots generally being away from the lakes. The POA isn’t intrusive and assists the community in planning several large events each year."

"I agree with the other person about nasty dog owners. You have to watch them until they are gone, or they will turn your yard into a toilet. But it's overly quiet here."

"I've lived in Hattiesburg for a little over a year now. So far, no one knows how to drive, the infrastructure is terrible, traffic is bad, and there is a disproportionate amount of crime considering how small the city is. My family is only here for as long as we have to be for medical school. We cannot wait to leave."
